Tradition!

So for the past two years (this year making 3) Adam and I have gone and seen a play and this year was fantastic! We went and saw Fiddler on the Roof at the Pantages in Hollywood. The lead guy (Tevya) was played by the same man who played the roll in the movie (Topal) and he was amazing - 75 years old and amazing!

We of course do not have the money for theater tickets right now but my parents got Adam 2 tickets for his birthday and he was kind enough to bring me along! My brother Brian and his girlfriend Crystal-Lee came with us too and we had a great time!

We had planned to go to an Irish pub that was close to the theater for dinner but when we got there we couldn't find it, but in our driving round the streets of Hollywood we happened upon a little Brazilian restaurant names Bossa Nova and it was AMAZING!

Adam and I have this running game when we go out to see who can order the better meal (I know, we're weird) and usually we agree on who the winner was (which is usually me) but this place was a first for us... we both thought the we won! We both tried each other's meals and we both like the one we ordered the best! So I guess we both won, which is the way I think it's supposed to be, we actually LOVED the food we ordered - success!

We had such a good time at dinner we stayed longer than we should have and made it to the theater with 10 minutes to spare! As we were quickly walking from the car I went ahead a bit, and said "We're going to see Fiddler, act Jewish!" and then turned around and took a picture, this is what I got:
So my theory is that Brian thought I said "We're going to see Santa act like an elf" because there is no other explanation for his hilarious face in this picture! I love it!
During intermission we noticed the funniest sign in the lobby advertising "Matchmaker Night" sponsored by "Jdate" but we had to hurry back to our seats but knew we wanted to further inspect the sign after. Upon doing so we noticed the fact the the "Jdate" logo was a Star of Davis with a heart in it! We thought that it was rather amazing and decided to take pictures with the sign!
Adam and I stood next to each other because we were already "matched"
And of course we had to take a picture with the play sign out front and since we went on opening night I stood so that you could see the date we went on :)

I don't know if there are any tickets left but if you have a chance you really should go see this, it was amazing and we sat in the $35 seats and it was still fantastic - seriously, it might be the best play I have ever seen! (Thanks mom and dad for sending us!)

Mr. Social

Just wanted to share some cute random happenings of Bennett and all his friends he is making- he is continuing to be such a sweet and friendly little man!

We stopped by Adam's school the other day and Mrs. Privet (Adam's principle) let Bennett sit in her chair - he was very proud and liked her a lot!
Bennett recently got to meet his new buddy Wyatt - they already love each other so much they decided to kick their feet and hold their arms the same way for their first picture together!
Bennett just could not stop cracking up with Joylynn! He loved her so much!
Here he is with DeAnna, he always loves to touch her, it's pretty cute!
Bennett got to hang out with his good buddy Micah the other night too - they played video games together!
Here's Bennett with Juliette getting frozen yogurt - notice their head sizes next to each other... Juliette is almost 12... I can hear the custom hat orders being rung up now.

So that's pretty much it for his social hangouts lately (or at least the ones I took pictures of) but here's a few to just show how big he's getting:

Standing with Dad. This is one of his favorite things to do!
Still loves his swing, but has now taken to touching the mirror above his head...
Reading - Bennett loves books! He plays with things all day long and drops toys all day long (very normal baby thing to do) However, He only cries over a dropped toy when that toy is a book! (We know... he's a genius!)

Becky and Michael are Married!

This last weekend we went to a beautiful wedding to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Radliff!
The reception was out in De Luz at a place called "the Oaks" and it was very lovely and just perfect for them!
Bennett got to see his Auntie Katie which always makes both of them very happy!
Of course there was dancing!
And Bennett even got a dance with the Bride!
Here's Adam and I
And just before we left we snagged a picture with the beautiful bride!
Such a lovely occasion - a good wedding is always a pleasure to attend!
Blessing upon you both Michael and Becky!

Family

This last week Adam's sister Tanya and her two kids (Ty and Ella) came for a visit from Oklahoma to celebrate Roger and Ella's birthdays! So ...we celebrated!!!
Roger turned 60 and Ella turned 5 and a fun time was had by all!
Here's one of the gifts we got Ella. You know your present is a hit when they open it right away!
One night we all watched Transformers together (This is Tanya and Ty - and little bit of Roger who is talking to Ella)
Adam and I had already seen Transformers to we weren't paying as much attention to the movie as some people were :)
Since Adam's parents have a pool at there house there was lots of swimming (and snorkeling) enjoyed by all as well!

Here's Bennett sitting with his Papa Roger - Bennett thinks he is one funny guy!

After swimming we wanted to get some "cousin pictures"
Bennett was just too tired to smile so Ty and Ella, being the quick whited little things they are, decided they would make faces that matched with him instead of waiting for him to smile! They crack me up!
And of course as soon as i put my camera down Bennett started smiling! Oh well!

We had a great time visiting and we hope we can see them all again soon!

"Come on over to my crib...

... and we can play with my toys!"

Bennett had his friend Olivia over last night!
She might have had more fun with Bennett's toys than he ever has - but he was very good at sharing!

And Olivia was very thankful for him sharing with her!

To Grandmother's House We Go!

Yesterday we went over to Grammy's house and went swimming! As usual, Bennett enjoyed himself tremendously in the water and then sat and told his Grammy stories of his fun for a good half hour after getting out of the pool - it was pretty cute!

Here's a "Tony Bennett" picture! (Tony's the dog, Bennett is the boy) Tony just loves Bennett and always want to smell him and lick him, I'm sure they will be friends when Bennett is a little bigger
