Park Fun!

Last week we had to skip our normal Thursday Bible Study due to runny noises and yucky coughs but it was such a nice day I just couldn't stay inside so I took the boys to the park {after running a few errands of course ... so the park was a reward for being good!}

John-Paul and I hung out in the shade and had lunch and watched Bennett-Boy do his playground thing while running back and forth to take bites of his sandwich and apples.

He told me he was too little and that it was for big boys ... such wisdom :) 

What park day is complete without bubbles?

Where do boys get training in being boys?

And who taught my son to tell his friend, "I'll push and you see if you can get this thing started"?!

Even though the key fit, they still couldn't get it started {maybe because there was no battery in it!} so they recruited a driver when he got home from school ...

I'm not gonna lie, having a house full of boys would be fine by me.
I am constantly being entertained!

Life ...

this is life right now...

... and and I don't mind it a bit!

Frog Jacket

When we first got this jacket he would cry when I even tried to try it on him (it was a hand-me-down) but now he LOVES it and I am so so so so happy each time he puts it on!

Last week's rain was fabulous for so many reasons, but I think the frog jacket was at the top of the fabulous list!

Celebrating Robert!

I met my friend Robert in high school and we have been friends ever since!  Here we are in 1997, celebrating his 16th birthday...

That's not Bennett, that's my brother Casey who just started his senior year of high school! 

... So of course we had to celebrate his big "three-oh"! 

In true Robert fashion there were bubbles and a jumper! So, needless to say, Bennett had an awesome time! 

It was a great party at the park! We got to sit and talk with great friends who we don't see often enough and play games with said friends too! (we're all a little competitive!) 

While playing bocce ball ... Bennett made a great friend in Megan (also known as May-May to Bennett) because she was pushing him around in a little car but he really started enjoying her when she started pushing him down the big hills! He loved it! 

Robert hope you had a great birthday, all the Elwer's (and Howley's too) love you and are so glad we've known you for so long! Blessing upon you friend! 

Dreaming of Sunny Days

So, Bennett is kind of in love with the trampoline and he is NOT in love with the rain that is stopping him from going out to play on said trampoline! 

He's so silly and cute when he's jumping!

You can't help but smile at this! 

Fort Elwer

Just call him Bennett the Builder!
This week has been full of construction in our home

Monday he built his first "fort" while I was doing the dishes

Tuesday, daddy helped him build a fort! 

 This picture also inspired me to vacuum my couches ... Yuck!

 

and then Daddy made a bigger fort for the two of them

However, when it was time for bed, Bennett wasn't ready to call it quits yet!

Wednesday, he brought music to the fort

He is all boy and I LOVE it!   

(most days at least)
