Here's the Elwer men trying to take a picture together but they both just kept looking at each other! (You can tell they like each other a lot)
After Adam got home from work Bennett went to his Grammy's house to hang out for a while and Adam and I went on a date! We played two rounds of miniature golf (36 holes, Adam had two hole in one's and I had one!) and rode the go karts once. We had so much fun just playing! Then we went to our favorite sushi restaurant in Temecula, Gin Sushi. Oh what a yummy dinner!
After dinner we went back to our house for a little cake. As you can see Adam was being a little silly!
Saturday morning the Selton family came over for Brunch because they were unable to come the night before. Here's Adam and Mike with their boys! We are hoping they will be great friends too and who knows, maybe they will be each other's best man, just like their dads!
After brunch, we all went out to 'Prior Park' to enjoy the lovely afternoon and play on the fun toys!
This next picture isn't really part of the celebration, but it made me laugh, so I will include it. Saturday afternoon, Adam decided he would help Bennett work on his crawling skills - it was pretty funny!
Then Saturday night Adam and I (thanks to the lovely Crystal-Lee) went to see his school's play, Wizard of OZ. The students all did a really great job and it was fun to see!
Then Sunday after church, we had another family celebration at Adam's parent's house which included grilled chicken salads on the patio and watching one of Adam's presents, 'Get Smart'.
So, all in all it was a busy weekend, but a really, really fun weekend! It's great to celebrate Adam!

I love my Dad very much and I think he is fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a better Dad!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

To get the visual on the sunglasses - here's a picture with them on last week - pretty cute huh?!
Well, he enjoyed it for a while and then he decided to fill his diaper to capacity and scream like a crazy man while sweet Amy Rogers was doing the devotion on highlighting God's hand at work in your children's lives - well at least that's what I gathered from the half I heard! Here's Bennett just as the tea was ending - he really does like his grandma, but he was just over it at this point!
Saturday night, due to life around a fireman's work schedule, we had a Mother's Day meal with my parents that consisted of them going to pick up PF Changs take out and bringing it to our house! It was fabulous! After dinner we all sat around for a while and talked and watched Bennett engage in his new favorite past time - gnawing on his daddy's finger! Yes, folks, we think he might already be teething! If the chewing wasn't a good enough sign the fussiness and inability to stay asleep are also in full swing. We will see how this goes!
Oh and let's not forget my Dad's mother's day present to me! While at the tea saturday afternoon, he washed my car and then came over on monday and cleaned our garage so I could park the car inside! YAY!!
After church, Mary Beth came up to me and said, "I think your son has something for you" and in all my mommy glory I responded with, "What? Does he have a big bugger or did he blow out his pants?" She laughed and said I should go check:
Oh melt my heart, my little boy got me a card and wrote in it! :)
After a diaper change and feeding, Adam, Bennett and I headed out to do a little mother's day shopping! I was gifted a gift card and cash and Adam offered to go shopping so off we went! It was a long shopping trip and sadly I never found the thing I was really looking for (a bathing suit - although I have since ordered one online, hopefully it gets here soon so I can try it on! I know, so risky to order a bathing suit online!) Bennett was quite the trooper and really did do a great job being good - but he hit the was and was just done for! But even when he is exhausted, he's still so stink'n cute!
