First Disneyland Trip!

Bennett's first trip to Disneyland actually started at Clara's first birthday party....

...when Miss Ashleigh said, "Seriously, if you want to go I will sign you in, but you have to do it soon, my last day is September 6th."  What? FREE?! Well that's all we needed to motivate us! A couple weeks later, Erica made cinnamon rolls, we meet early to all got into one car, and off we went to the Big D!

We got them both "First Time" badges before entering!

We couldn't skip the classic park entrance pictures

We realized at the end of the day we never took a picture as a full group - sad!

and then Erica snapped these - possibly my favorites from the day!

The kids were loving all the exploring they could do and we soon made our way over to the Play House Disney Show. I had no clue as to how the show would go over with a 1 and 1 1/2 year old, but they LOVED it (and we all loved the air conditioning!)

First rides of the day were in Bugs World Land!

Bennett was amazed by the Jungle Cruise! He waved to all the animals!

We were so excited to take Bennett on Small World ... 

However Bennett had his own agenda for the ride!

About half way through the ride he woke up and started dancing instantly ... but then realized he was still tired and tried to lay back down!

But he did eventually end up enjoying himself!

The Tiki Room was a huge hit! They LOVED the music ... and the fact that they got their own bench!

The Parade was great! Too bad Ashleigh wasn't actually working that day! But Clara and Micah did join in the celebration conga line at one point! (we introduced Micah and Erica to Dole Whip during the Parade! There are just some Disney treasures you have to share no matter what your budget!)

Strollers save the day! They are wonderful inventions!

We took a long dinner rest (after abandoning our first dinner plans at Story Tellers) at the Warf and then gave the kids a break at the Mommy Station on Main street while the Daddy's went on Buzz Lightyear! Clara was not as inclined to sleep as Bennett was so Erica took her on a little walk to kill time ... look at this picture! So cute!

We all really wanted to see World of Color but didn't make it in time to get a fast pass for it so we asked some employees for recommendations and we found a pretty great spot next to the Ferris Wheel. Granted, Bennett was kind of done for the day, so ...

...we got popcorn!

The show was amazing! SO glad we stayed to see it!

Within minutes of the show starting Bennett was zonked out in Adam's arms

He was so tired he stayed asleep like this all the way to the car!

We had a great day with great friends! It was basically perfect!
