Bennett's 3rd Birthday {Part 2}
Part two of celebrating Bennett's 3rd year was on his actual birthday ... the 22nd of February.
We had quite the day!
Once Bennett decided on what he wanted for lunch {Hambergers, french fries and ketchup - his words, not mine} we were off to In-n-Out and then to Adam's work so eat lunch with Daddy!
After lunch John-Paul fell asleep on the way home so Bennett and I had some alone time for building trains and watching Chuggington before it was nap time.
For dinner Bennett picked his favorite foods - Salad, Ice cream and blueberries {No joke, he would eat salad at every meal if we let him!} so we prepared a salad bar complete with everything one would need for either a cobb or a chinese chicken salad ... it seemed to be a big hit will all the party attendees!
After dinner was presents ... the best part of any birthday party of course!
Here he is with the "inside" presents!
Once the inside presents were done we all had to take a trip down stairs for the last two gifts of wonder! It was absolute 3 year old wonderland ... a sand box and bike!
While dessert was being served Bennett got in some good play time with his new toys ...
{Yes, the above picture is Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker hugging ... Bennett has learned from Adam that they are father and son, thus they must hug each other - right?! Right!}
Happy Birthday was sung only once this year and a good time was had by all ... especially Mr. Happy himself, John-Paul!
If you can believe it, there really is one more celebration ... stay tuned for part 3
{If you missed part 1 make sure to check it out!}

the droids were put in charge of driving the pirate ship |
We remembered to take pictures of Bennett with most of his guests for the evening ... but sadly not all of them!

Comparrisons
I know you aren't supposed to compare your kids to one another and that God has made each into their own unique and wonderful being ... but I'm not gonna lie, this is just kind of fun! :)

Daddy Time
For some reason or another life has been rather busy lately and John-Paul has of course been drug around with me to all the crazy ... but Adam and Bennett have been free as birds to go and have fun!
One night they went out to El Polo Loco for tacos and ice cream ... this was Bennett's first "cone" experience!
And due to a baby shower down in San Diego one weekend they got to have a fun outing to the Wild Animal Park!
{I know it's the Safari Park now ... I'm not good with change!}
They looked so cute walking out of the park together, I just had to jump out of the car real quick and capture this sweet moment!
{Bennett's finger in Adam's ear just tops it off! ha ha! Gotta love a 3 year old!}
Even though I am sad to miss out on these precious moments I know it is so good for Adam and Bennett to have their special time together and that makes me so happy for them both and so thankful to have such a great husband and sweet son!

Sophie?
So we don't have the most fashionable giraffe on the market but I figure the cute kid and giraffe sleeper make up for it - right ?!
Also ... let me just add how happy I am that this moment occurred!
This is Bennett's favorite animal and he was so sweet to share it with "baby" {as he calls John-Paul}
